Do You Have a Will? 58% of Americans Don't

By , About.com GuideJuly 9, 2008

Follow me on:

A majority of Americans don’t have a will, according to a statistically representative survey released by FindLaw. About 58% of survey takers didn’t have a will. That figure was 66% for those aged 35 to 49, and 47% for those aged 50 to 64. That means a lot of parents haven’t declared who should have custody of their children in the event of their death.

Parents, do you have a will? Tell us how you decided whom you would want to raise your children.
