Lazy Days of Summer? Not in Overworked America
Summer means vacation, to me. Even if it’s just a long weekend to see my parents, I need the down time and the slightly slower pace of work. So it saddens me to see the latest survey from Take Back Your Time, showing Americans took a median of 8.2 vacation days last year.
In other depressing findings:
- 28% of workers took no vacation at all
- Half took a week or less
- Two-thirds took less than two weeks off
The survey found that 69% of Americans support a law requiring employers to give paid vacation time. What do you think? Please share your opinion in the comments below.
