One of my all-time favorite magazines is Working Mother. The articles always seem to speak directly to me and my needs, without preaching. So it's no wonder that I love the Working Mother Web site, my current Site of the Week. It contains much of the terrific content that appears in the print magazine, as well as bulletin boards and contests.

And of course, the site highlights the Working Mother 100 Best Companies. That's like the Fortune 100 for working moms, only instead of ranking companies by gross revenues, Working Mother ranks them according to family-friendly policies and opportunities for working moms to climb the career ladder.

You can search for your employer and other companies in your industry to see how they rank. You can also see the 10 best companies in categories such as paternity leave, part-time work and mature workers.

Of course, working for one of the top companies on this list is only one step in achieving work-life balance. A lot depends on your individual work group and supervisor, as well as how effectively you negotiate flexible hours and promote your accomplishments at work.

I hope you enjoy the site. Please let me know what you think!

I’ve been wanting to subscribe to Working Mother Magazine after I was given a free magazine at a Family Fair. Thanks for posting the link to the website!

Hey !. !! Happy Thanksgiving!! :)
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, and each year I like to get into the mood-extend the holiday, as it were-by reading “Thanksgiving novels.” Not surprisingly, most of these stories are mostly about friends and family, about coming together to heal old hurts and getting thanks for the gift of love. .. .. ##
