My husband and I are getting ready for two solid weeks of vacation: one week at the beach and then a week with my extended family for a reunion. We're also watching our budget, so we aren't planning too many expensive outings while we're on vacation.
Instead, we're planning some of our kids' favorite cheap, fun activities:
- Water play (including water balloons) and bubble play
- Sand castle building, naturally
- Building a fort with some leftover lumber
- Fishing and hunting turtles in the lake
- Treasure hunts, with maps that have pictures instead of words, for the preschoolers.
How will you be having cheap fun this summer? This post is part of the About Parenting Blog Carnival, which will have a plethora of inexpensive ideas for entertaining the whole family.
