Real Moms' Back to Work Stories

On my first day after maternity leave ended, I sat in the car outside my daughter's daycare and cried. Then I got on the subway to my office and cried. But as soon as I stepped up to my desk, it felt completely natural to be back at work. That's not to say I didn't have moments of angst or doubt along the way, but I knew returning to work was the right decision for me.

Every mother's story about returning to work is slightly different. Some were miserable for months until they found the right work-life rhythm. Some couldn't wait to hit the office. Others realized that they were called to stay home with their baby and quit their jobs.

Today, I'm excited to introduce a new feature on this site, in which you can read other moms' real-life stories of returning to work -- and contribute your own. It only takes a few minutes to share your back to work journey, and it could be the lifeline that another new working mom needs to make it through that first day back. Please check it out!
