As a working mom, I love to hear other parents' stories about balancing work and a family life, taming tantrums and -- of course -- snappy comebacks to the inevitable snarky comment. I may have a few pieces of advice to give, but I always learn something new. That's one reason I've created dozens of opportunities for you to share your stories and advice for other parents on this site. For instance:
- Returning to the job after maternity leave is possibly the biggest transition in a working mom's life. I'd love to learn about your journey back to work.
- I've written about the 10 commandments that define my life as a working mom. What are the key principles that guide you as a working parent?
- It would be nice to think that discrimination against moms and expectant mothers is a thing of the past -- but the statistics tell a different story. If you've seen pregnancy discrimination, please share your story.
- And of course, the advice I'm most looking forward to: how do you balance work and life?
If none of those topics sparks your interest, check out the working moms forum and either respond to a thread -- or start your own. I look forward to reading your stories and picking up new ideas for myself and my readers. Thanks in advance!
