As I predicted on Friday, our jaws have been hanging open at the athletic prowess on display in the 2012 Summer Olympics, especially moms of young children, such as basketball player Candace Parker and bicyclist Kristin Armstrong. Most of us are thankful to be finding time to exercise with toddlers at home, much less competing on an international stage.
One highlight has been the beach volleyball matches by mom of two Kerri Walsh Jennings and her partner Misty May-Treanor. And all of the swimming events blow me away by how much these human beings resemble dolphins or seals in their power and ease underwater.
