The holiday season snuck up on me as usual this year. We live in such a multi-cultural community that we have multiple holidays to celebrate -- and keep track of. Beginning with Diwali, through Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas and New Year's, we've got almost two straight months of celebrations.
And with those celebrations come a steady stream of potluck meals to cook, carpools to plan and gifts to buy, naturally. Unlike those years past when I started shopping on Christmas Eve, I've already gotten a few important gifts checked off my list. But it's not over yet!
The holiday season is a marathon, not a sprint, and we want to enjoy it rather than just getting through it. It's possible, with careful planning, good organization and a balanced attitude. I've been letting a lot of things go this year.
How do you plan your Christmas shopping? Please share your secrets.
